Endurance Required
I have listed below most of the scriptures that indicate Christians must endure or continue in the faith in order to recieve the promise of salvation. The word that is translated as ENDURE MEANS TO ABIDE, TO STAY IN PLACE, TO REMAIN, ETC.
Matt. 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Matt. 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Mark 4:16 And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.
Mark 13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
James 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure...
John 8:31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
John 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
Acts 13:43 Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
Acts 14:21-22 And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, 22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.
Rom. 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
Col. 1:21-23 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: 23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel,

1 John 2:24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
Heb. 10:35-36 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. 36 For ye have need of patience, {endurance} that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
