Rev. 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
The person that John heard here was the Lord Jesus Christ. (See Rev. 1:10-11.) Jesus told John that the things he would be shown would be things that would occur sometime in the future after John had been shown the visions. Therefore, none of the visions can be said to have been fulfilled by any events in history that had occurred prior to that time that John saw the visions.
